Quick Tips to Get Amazing Exit Photos

Sparkler exits, bubble exits, all the things! The Bride and Groom’s grand exit at the end of the reception is such a classic and traditional part of the wedding day. As a wedding photographer, it is one of my FAVORITE parts to photograph because they can produce some amazing images!

However, those amazing images don’t just happen! Today, I’m going to share with you some of my favorite exits, some tips for getting awesome exit photos, and some unique exit ideas for anyone who wants to be different!

There are sooo many different types of exits. Two of my favorite exits that photograph so well are:

• Sparkler exits (classic!)
• Bubble exits

Sparkler exits probably photograph the BEST. They create this super cool, smokey effect that simply looks incredible. Not to mention, they look AMAZING in black and white! Here are some of my favorite sparkler exits:

BUBBBBBLES. Bubbles just look SO FREAKIN’ COOL, but with one big condition: there needs to be a lot of them! So, make sure your guests know when to start blowing!

Here are some speedy tips for awesome exit photos:

• If you’re doing a sparkler exit, grab some for you and your groom! Trust me, it will look super cool!
• WALK SLOW. Always, always walk slow in order to give your photographer ample to snap the photos.
• Kiss multiple times as you’re walking down! Dip, spin, have fun with it!
• If you’re doing a bubble exit, make sure there are plenty of bubbles! Want to make it even better? Consider a bubble machine!
• Consider colorful sparklers! The blue ones look so cool!
• Having a glow stick exit? Buy the LONG glow sticks!! The short ones will not photograph well!

And lastly, here are some more grand exit ideas if you want to be different!

• Confetti
• Glow sticks
• Rose petals
• Paper airplans
• Smoke bombs
• Pom poms
• Ribbon wands
• Feathers
• Fake snow (for winter weddings)
