I am SO excited to finally be able to blog about this wonderful photoshoot! Earlier this year, I had the idea of partnering with local animal shelters and photographing high school seniors with adoptable dogs to support and promote pet adoption. I’m a HUGE believer in adopt, don’t shop so I quickly hustled and emailed multiple shelters with my idea. A few of them, including Richardson Rescue, reached back out to me and I could not have been more excited!
After lots of planning, me and a group of beautiful girls from Rock Hill High School and Northwestern High School headed out to Richardson Rescue for this fun project!
It was SUCH a success and I’m excited to announce that this opportunity is becoming a part of my Everdawn Spokesmodel Program! Every year, spokesmodels will have the opportunity to pose with dogs at multiple animal shelters as well as raise money, food, and other needs for the adoptable pets!
Pictured below is Madison posing with Ruby. Ruby was a shy girl who quickly warmed up to Madison, but she was SO sweet. She’s been at the shelter for TWO years now and deserves to go to a loving home! She’s good with other dogs, children, and is house trained! She would make the perfect companion for anyone!
Meet Dobbie! Lauren posed with Dobbie, a sweet Doberman Pinscher who’s been at the shelter for over a year now! Like Ruby, Dobbie is good with other dogs, children, and is house trained! He deserves to go to a loving home!Haylee posed with Riggs, another Doberman Pinscher who stole everyone’s heart! He was SO sweet and loving! He’s been at the shelter for about a year now and is good with other dogs and children! We all wanted to take him home!Bailey also posed with Riggs because he was just so irresistible! Savannah posed with Lilybeth, a small but lovable mixed Australian Cattle Dog! Lilybeth was very calm, but extremely sweet! She’s been at the shelter for about two years and is good with both other dogs and children! She’s the perfect friend for everyone!Lauren posed with Sweetie! As stated by her name, Sweetie is SO sweet. She is good with everyone and everything, from cats, to dogs, to children, and strangers! With her personality, I simply can’t believe she hasn’t been adopted. She’s definitely one of the sweetest dog’s I’ve met!Haylee posed with Zoe, a Pit Bull Terrier mix with the most loving and energetic personality! Zoe has been at the shelter for two years and deserves to go to a loving home! She’s great with other dogs and children and will love on everyone she meets!Xena, the Beagle picture below, was loved by EVERYONE. Honestly, all the girls fell in love with her instantly and I just couldn’t say no when they all wanted pictures! Xena was so timid but SO sweet and it’s no surprise that she actually got adopted just a few days after our photoshoot! We’re glad Xena went to a loving home!
Stix is a one-eyed Chihuahua and also the SWEETEST and CALMEST Chihuahua I’ve ever met. I come from a family that owns a ton of Chihuahuas so that’s saying something! Bailey fell in love with Stix and I’m sure anyone who meets him will too! He’s great with other dogs, cats, children, and is house trained!Savannah fell in love with Larry, a young and energetic Australian Shepard! He hasn’t been adopted yet, but since he’s a puppy, there’s no doubt he will be soon! Larry is great with other dogs and children and is truly a sweetheart! Thanks to Richardson Rescue and my senior girls, Lauren, Haylee, Savannah, Bailey, and Madison! This opportunity was definitely surreal and I can’t wait for it to happen again!
If you’re interested in adopting, please do! All of these dogs and much more are in need of loving homes! However, if you are unable to adopt, please consider volunteering or donating! They need all the love and help they can get!
