There are a LOT of amazing wedding venues in Charlotte and throughout North Carolina. So, to ease your search, I put together this blog post which includes 8 of the best venues I’ve worked at within the last two years and why I loved them!
Enjoy! xx
This is one of my FAVORITE venues ever. It’s right outside of Charlotte in Gastonia, NC. It’s very spacious, has multiple ceremony locations (indoor and outdoor… backup plans are important!), and the bridal suite is to die for! Just take a look below to see for yourself! HERE is a wedding I shot at Separk just this year!
An ICONIC venue right in the heart of Charlotte! The Duke Mansion is classy, beautiful, and elegant. If you’re going for a classic vibe, the Duke Mansion will give you just that. Their gardens are stunning and absolutely perfect for bride and groom portraits!
I love the summer vibe that comes with this venue! The Peninsula Yacht offers multiple indoor/outdoor options, and I’ve taken some of my favorite wedding photos EVER there. It’s also super spacious if you have a larger guest count!
HERE is a wedding I shot there last fall!
The Triple J Manor House is actually located near Winston-Salem, NC but it’s been one of my favorite venues ever! I even considered it for my own wedding because not only was within my budget, but it has everything I wanted, such as an outdoor ceremony location (and indoor for backup), HUGE reception area, and WHITE WHITE WHITE everywhere!
HERE is a wedding I recently shot there!
The Ivy Place is located right across the border in Lancaster, SC. It’s not too far from Charlotte, and it’s such a beautiful venue with the most amazing gardens! If you’re looking for a venue that is 100% outdoors, the Ivy Place is it! Both their ceremony and reception spaces are outdoors (no indoor options whatsoever). Thankfully, the reception area is tented, so you won’t have to worry about rain! Plus, the tent is BEAUTIFUL (see below!)
HERE is a wedding I shot there in 2019!
The Diary Barn is also right across the border in Fort Mill, SC. It’s literally 5 minutes down the road from where I currently live, and it’s STUNNING. If you’re looking for a barn venue, look no further. The Diary Barn is the beautiful, white, barn venue of your dreams! Their reception area is bright, white, and airy, and they have so many outdoor areas from magical bride and groom portraits!
HERE is one of my favorite weddings I shot at the Dairy Barn!
Located in Monroe, NC, Camellia Gardens is exactly what is sounds like. If you’ve ever wanted to get married surrounded by luscious gardens, this is the place! Similar to the Ivy Place, everything is 100% outdoors, but they have multiple areas for your ceremony and reception. And YES, it’s rain-proof!
HERE is a wedding I shot there in 2018!
The White Home is located in Rock Hill, SC which is about 30 minutes from downtown Charlotte. If you’re looking for a quaint, historic venue, you should definitely check it out. It’s absolutely perfect for smaller weddings!
HERE is a wedding I shot there back in 2018!
